Sturdy, easy to use, inexpensive iPad mini mount

I have the iOttie mounts for the iPhone and the iPad mini, and both of them share the same qualities: extremely sturdy, easy to use even one-handed, and rock-solid once adjusted and tightened down. The suction cup of the mount is so sticky that it's the next best thing to using superglue or welding it on. Once you stick it in its place and pop the little lever, the mount isn't going anywhere, and removing it almost requires a crowbar.
If there's anything negative to mention, it's that the mount bracket won't hold the iPad mini with a case of any substance. I use the Apple Smart Cover and fold it back before putting the iPad mini into the mount, and that works fine, but any case bigger/thicker than that will most likely not fit.
Overall, however, it's a reliable and sturdy solution for turning your iPad mini into a car computer. My iPad mini is a Verizon LTE model, and with this mount, it's a much better GPS than any dedicated car GPS unit. Highly recommended.

Ipad mini

Works very well and grips my dashboard like crazy. My only concern is I have to remove my ipad from its protective case to use it. I have the Ottie case for my Ipad mini and I'm unwilling to remove it from the case just to mount it in my dashboard holder. Real shame a few design modifications would have solved the problem. Great holder but I can't use it with out removing my ipad mini from its case

This was the 3rd mount I purchased for my Nexus 7. I use the tablet for business and have it in the car for many hours at a time. Although all the mounts held the device this one was the first to allow me to position it *exactly* the way I need it for the car. Vibration and movement is minimal. I mounted the unit on the console and I thought it will never stay since my console as a slight dip toward the rear which falls under the suction cup. I figured it will never hold without some additional work. Well, it has been there, unmoved for a couple of weeks now. What else can I say? The tablet goes in easy - the buttons on the back do their job well. Taking it out is a bit more work since I have to hold the unit while moving the top retainers up into the locked position but that is a rather small issue for me. Getting an email from them making sure it is working well for me was nice touch and great customer service.
I think this one is a keeper! Anyone interested in two slightly used mounts for a 7" tablet? :)
