You would think a 2013 Audi would come with the ability to do A2DP but it doesn't unless you spend 3k on the navigation. This resolves that issue perfectly. Works just as if your iPod was connected directly to the AMI. I went through about $200 worth of other hacks / solutions and this is the only thing that just worked.

Streams from iPhone and Works Like an Cable Connected iPod

For Audi + iPhone

Had been using another 30-pin bluetooth iPod dock adaptor for almost two years. With that adaptor connected to Audi's AMI iPod adapter cable, Music (or whatever streaming app the iPhone was running i.e Pandora, Amazon Cloud Player, or a radio app), plus Nav guidance would stream through the car's sound system nicely, however, there were NO AVRCP functionality whatsoever. So I had to get Satechi's Bluetooth Multi-Media Remote Control to skip tracks.

Viseeo has now resolved it. With Tune2air connected to the AMI iPod cable, the car thinks it is physically connect to a iPod, retrieves and displays track info on the AMI screen. Control functions like scroll through and track jumps on the head unit and on the steering wheel all function just like having an iPod connected in the glovebox.

The price is higher than the other brands' but Tune2air is THE comprehensive solution. The maker has put in the effort and resource to fully satisfy the market need for an aftermarket bluetooth streaming solution at a reasonable price (Audi's own but discontinued adaptor was more than $200 and didn't work on many AMI/MMI). Personally, this is THE product to get to add bluetooth streaming to my AMI .

Finally! Bluetooth Audio Streaming for Audi

I have spent a lot of money trying to stream audio from my phone to my Audi A4. This is the only solution I know that works right out of the box.

My Car:
Audi A4 Premium Plus 2012, AMI (no navigation)

My Phones:
iPhone 5s - works beautifully (ios7)
iPhone 4s - works beautifully (ios6)

You will be able to control your iPhone's local library from your head unit, and you can control Spotify playlists as well. You obviously will not be able to search Spotify/YouTube/Pandora from your AMI, but you can skip tracks and seek through playlists just fine. The current song information also shows on your AMI (confirmed working in Pandora, Spotify, iTunes library, YouTube). The playlist, however, does not seem to be pushed synced with the head unit. Only the current song selection shows. Seriously, not a big deal at all.

Your phone will show that it is connected to 2 bluetooth devices, one being your Audi, the other being the ViseeO Tune2air device. Because of this, you are able to take calls even if you are streaming audio. I highly recommend this device - I cannot believe how simple the setup was. Thank you ViseeO for FINALLY giving us bluetooth audio streaming.
