Works Perfectly!

This unit does exactly what it is supposed to. It makes superb copies of your audio cassettes as mp3 files. The included software works flawlessly if you just follow the included instructions. After transferring over 20 tapes it is still perfect. The only things I might suggest is to not touch the unit while it is playing-the controls are very sensitive. Also make sure it is off when you are done-the motor can run with or without a tape in the device and it runs so quietly that it can be easily left on. The auto-reverse works great-makes it easy to start copying and come back later when both sides have finished. Unit works fine unattended but you do have to stop it when it is done.

I was surprised at the quality of an inexpensive converter like this. I wanted some homemade cassettes converted from over 30 years ago and it did a great job. The quality of these old cassettes were not the best, but I was pleased with the outcome.

Nice, but...

It arrived on time in a neat little package and included everything in the picture (headphones, a USB cable, and the converter) as well as a small data disc with the conversion/uploading software. The disc fit perfectly in my laptop's drive and downloading the software took less than two minutes. Unfortunately, the USB cable that came with the supplies did NOT connect to the converter. I've been looking online for a replacement cable but as is I paid $20 for a cassette walkman. Not the experience I had anticipated.
