Well made with lots of security measures

So I ride a road bike, and I am pretty hardcore (at least my wife thinks so). I was looking for a case that would go the distance. I use GPS and Strava a lot, so I needed a holder that would (a) let me use the screen easily, (b) will go the distance off road, and (c) would protect my $600 iPhone from dust, dirt, splashes, falls etc.
Let me tell you, this case will go the distance for you. I've taken it on pretty rough roads, and it really performed. My phone is sealed water-tight, no dust, dirt, or sweat gets in even while I have full access to it. I've used a speaker phone, and if you're wondering about "sound boost" technology in the description, it means the case directs the sound forward so using speakers or speakerphone is not a problem.

Shock Proof, Waterproof, People Proof

I have been using the iBikeConsole for my iphone. I use it and leave it on my bicycle. I kept it in the waterproof case and carried it around in my pocket for a while but it is very large and in my opinion quite ugly. The bracket that attaches to the handlebars is attached with the use of a hex wrench that is included with the iBikeConsole. It's a little clumsy to install and inconvenient to move from bike to bike because of the hex wrench requirement. It is however a very secure mount. The iBikeConsole comes with a hard plastic inside case that is much more streamlined and quite effective to protect your phone in everyday off the bike use. The hard plastic case then slips snugly into the waterproof shockproof case which as I said before can stay attached to the handlebars of your bike.
One thing that took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out was that when the phone is in the waterproof case you can make it much easier to hear by unplugging the two rubber plugs at the bottom of the case so you can hear the phone better and speak and be understood much better.
Beside being ugly. My only thought was that the iBikeConsole would be better if it was a lighter color. In the hot weather and in bright sunlight it gets very hot. If the iphone gets too hot it will shut down. I believe a lighter color would help it stay cool.
I did not test for waterproofness but I have no doubt that it would remain dry. The rubber plugs that I mentioned earlier are just the second line of defense there are clear membranes that are the primary seal for that part of the case.
8-23-13 Update: Sorry to report that today while riding I noticed the ibikeconsole holder mount started rattling. Upon closer inspection the four plastic mounting tabs all broke. The only thing keeping the phone from launching itself from the bike was the set screw. The ibikeconsole did not experience any unusual hits, crashes or impacts. It broke under the normal riding conditions of an adult casual rider. I have changed my rating to one star.
8-29-13 Update: I am happy to report that I have received a replacement and I am once again riding with my iphone accessible, waterproof and protected. Bike 2 Power was very helpful and expeditiously replaced the broken mount. This was replaced at no cost to me as they did not require that I send the mount back. They did request that I send a picture of the damage. They seemed to sincerely want to determine why it broke in order to make it a better product and provide a better experience for their customers. I changed my rating back to four stars.

Excellent for iPhone 5

I really like this case, and feel it is worth every penny. It's the best riding case I have used so far for my iPhone. You can set it at virtually at any angle, and you can attach it to either bar or stem. It comes with a universal bracket, the advantage which I did not understand at first. But basically it means you can mount the holder to any standard mounting bracket, and I used another bracket to mount it to my commuter in addition to my road bike. Everything you need to mount the case comes in a package. It is very sturdy, well made case, and the mounting bracket is also very sturdy. I highly recommend this mount
